Noble House

Prelude:

The client contacted us to investigate his house that he bought a few years ago. He has been doing some remodeling and refurbishing of the old house and has been experiencing some odd events.

The client isn’t sure of the history of the house, but believes the house was built sometime in the late 1800’s. Its structure is different than most of the older houses in the area where the slave quarters were built underneath the house rather than in separate housing structure alongside the house.

While digging outside around the house, the client has found bones, pieces of metal and old pottery.

Reported Activity:

During our walk through, the client described certain events that prompted him to call us. He has seen a figure of a woman walking across the hall while he slept in his bed. A picture frame would fall to the ground for no apparent reason. What made this interesting was that it was a desktop picture frame that leaned at about a 45 degree angle and the manner to which it would have to fall would be nearly impossible. The client has also experienced bowls and pitchers moving. Both he and his girl friend have witnessed a female figure walking down the hall. His dog will run upstairs and “freak out” in one particular corner.

Baseline Readings:

NOAA Planetary K-Index: 3 Kp
NOAA Geomagnetic Field: 175 nT
*K-indices of 5 or greater indicate storm-level geomagnetic activity.
**Research done thus far shows there is a direct correlation between paranormal activity and the strength of the of the earths geomagnetic field.

During the start of the investigation, there was an intense EMF spike that peaked the guass meter to its maximum of 10 mG. The spike occurred in the dining area where the picture frame and pitcher would move. No other abnormal readings were captured in the house. Some of the readings were a little higher than normal and are highlighted in red; abnormal spikes are highlighted in blue.

Electric and Magnetic Field Readings

▪  0 - 2.5 mG ("normal/safe")
▪  2.5 - 7 mG ("above normal/caution")
▪  7 or more mG ("high/dangerous")
Reading Level Area Notes
2.4 Front Right Living Room Nothing to note
2.6 Front Left Living Room Nothing to note
1.8 - > 10mG Dining Room A very high spike occurred that was above 10mG. The high reading could not be replicated or followed.
1.6 Kitchen Nothing to note
1.5 Back Room Nothing to note
2.1 Hall Nothing to note
2.9 Upstairs Landing Nothing to note
2.9 Main Upstairs Bedroom Nothing to note
3.1 Second Upstairs Bedroom Nothing to note

Prolonged exposure to high electric and magnetic fields has shown to create spooky and uneasy feelings in people that are hypersensitive to these fields.

All temperatures are logged below. Now abnormal temperature readings were noted.

Temperature
Temperature F Location Notes
77.8 Front Right Living Room Nothing to note
78.2 Front Left Living Room Nothing to note
77.9 Dining Room Nothing to note
78.8 Kitchen Nothing to note
78 Back Room Nothing to note
77.8 Hall Nothing to note
82.6 Upstairs Landing Nothing to note
85.6 Main Upstairs Bedroom Nothing to note
85 Second Upstairs Bedroom Nothing to note

Another factor we looked at was resonance frequency of the house. Older houses tend to be long and open in the way they were built, quite similar to a hollow tube. The main hallway was 6’ 4” x 32’ 1”.

A little about resonance frequencies: "Infrasonic frequencies are felt as vibrations which, if intense enough, may result in feelings of nausea, vertigo, hallucination and eventual black-out or internal hemorrhaging".

Resonant frequency is how many times per second sound travels between a cavity and returns to its starting point. Resonant frequencies for some areas were calculated at an adjusted room temperature of 72 F with the following formula: (1131.743 f/s) / (2 * Cavity Width (in feet)). Note that the 1131.743 feet/second figure is the speed sound travels at in room temperature and frequencies below or near Alpha brain wave (< 13 Hz) are of concern. In the hallway the resonant frequency was 17.7Hz, and not of concern.

Experiential Analysis:

One investigator thought she caught a glimpse of a dark mass going up the stairs. No other investigators had any sensations or experiences during the investigation.

Conclusion:

The video anomaly we caught of a white mass shooting up the stairs was interesting. However, we are not sure if it was a bug, or some paranormal event. We lean to it not being a bug since the streak was completely straight and not in a random fashion bugs tend to take when in flight. Also, there was no cyclic appearance within the streak that suggests wings beating. The cyclic pattern is common when photographing and video taping flying bugs in nightshot. The audio anomalies caught on tape are very interesting and quite unexpected. We also captured an anomalous reading on our emf equipment which is always a nice addition to any investigation. The reading was not predictable or repeatable.

We feel that the high electric and magnetic fields within the house could be adding to the spooky and “corner of the eye” syndrome that the client is experiencing. Nothing can explain the figures that he and his girlfriend have witnessed. We do not believe the electric and magnetic fields are high enough to cause such hallucinations.

Based on our data collected we do feel that there is a high probability that there is paranormal activity going on at the residence, but further investigation and research should be conducted to validate our findings.
