Prelude
The term investigator in this report refers to anyone that is a member
of the Ghost Hunters of the South paranormal research team. The term
attendee in this report refers to anyone at the investigation that is
not a member of the Ghost Hunters of the South paranormal research team.
Background
Jeff has been a friend of Bruce for a very long time and has told Bruce
on many occasions about the strange happenings that go on within his
house. The property the house is on has been in Jeff’s family for many
years. Prior to the house there was a trailer that events also occurred
in. As far as Jeff knows, no one has died on the property.
Reported ActivityThe whole
family has seen a shadow pass through the kitchen. In the old trailer,
they saw someone standing at the bedroom door when no one should have
been. Jeff’s son saw a man standing in his bedroom when they lived in
the trailer. They have all witnessed a shadow trailing down the hall.
The wife, Gale, gets unnerved in the hallway and will not walk through
without the light on. Gale hears things in the house that shouldn’t be
there.
Preliminary Findings & Hypothesis
During the walkthrough of the house we saw nothing that stood out. They
were normal people in a normal house. As we were walking into the hall,
there was a chill and a heaviness that was well acknowledged. We
theorized that this was due to the central air conditioning unit that
was positioned at the entrance to the hall. Due to the placement of the
central air, we did hypothesize that there would be large electric and
magnetic fields that would be contributing to a lot of what might be
happening.
Baseline Readings
Data Duration: 32hrs 45min.
Outside Humidity: 87%
Outside Temp: 74 degrees
Climate: Dry
LST: 01:40
Planetary K Index: 5.1 Kp (K-indices of 5 or greater indicate
storm-level geomagnetic activity.)
Geomagnetic: 89nT
During the capture of the baseline electric and magnetic field readings
we noticed that the static natural field level was well above acceptable
levels in the living room. These levels are known to create spooky and
uneasy feelings in people that are hypersensitive strong EM fields over
a prolonged period of time. Below are the readings that were captured.
| Electric and Magnetic Field Readings |

There were no temperature fluctuations to note.
Resonant Frequency Analysis
"Infrasonic frequencies are felt as vibrations which, if intense enough,
may result in feelings of nausea, vertigo, hallucination and eventual
black-out or internal hemorrhaging". Resonant frequency is how many
times per second sound travels between a cavity and returns to its
starting point. Resonant frequencies for some areas were calculated at
room temperature (72 F) with the following formula: (1131.743 f/s) / (2
* Cavity Width (in feet)). Note that the 1131.743 feet/second figure is
the speed sound travels at in room temperature, and frequencies below or
near Alpha brain wave (< 13 Hz) frequencies were flagged in red, as
there is a possibility that these affect the body more than higher
infrasonic frequencies.

Resonant frequencies were well with in tolerable limits and should not
have an effect on the people living in the house.

Experiential Analysis
All investigators felt a strong sense of
uneasiness when entering into the hallway. This correlated well with the
feelings the owners mentioned they had going into the hallway.
Conclusion
Based on our findings we are a bit concerned with the high static
electric and magnetic fields within the living areas of the house.
According to IEEE and the World Health Organization prolonged exposure
to extremely high EM fields can have severe effects within the following
areas:
- cell growth
- reproduction
- pre- and post-natal development
- bioelectric activity of isolated neurons
- behaviorcardiovascular functions (acute exposures)
- the blood-forming system and blood
- immune system functions
According to the Society for Physical Research, prolonged exposure to
high EM fields can also cause feelings of uneasiness, and create a
“being watched” or spookiness feeling.
While the EVP captured in the house are most impressive, they do not
indicate the house is haunted or rich in paranormal activity as EVP can
happen anywhere.
We suggest that the owners of the house seek out an electrician to
assist in minimizing the extremely high electric and magnetic fields
within their living areas. We predict that; by removing the high em
fields their sense of being haunted may be diminished. We would like the
opportunity to reinvestigate after the electric matters are taken care
of.
