I did not feel a presence upon entering the home. When we first arrived and I sat down with the homeowner to sign paper work, I did get a very strong smell of roses for one breath, but was unable to smell again as I sat there.

As the homeowner and I sat in the bedroom off of the kitchen doing EVP work, she asked questions, in which I did pick up on and relayed some answers to her. The most interesting thing I picked up on was when asking the deceased if there was something the homeowner could do to let the daughter know the deceased loved her and was thinking of her, I got an image of a woman touching/pinching another woman’s face. The homeowner verified this was something the two did.

Throughout the night, the team did smell roses/flowers off and on with no known source to be found. The homeowner stated the flower smell was a distinctive perfume the deceased wore.

As the night wore on, I did feel at times a spirit was present, but not a ghost. I think the spirit comes to the homeowner to alleviate the sadness for the homeowner, and is not an earthbound ghost.

I never got any vibes, feelings or anything when we first entered the house.

After we were there for a while and Christina and Mrs. Gilmore went into the bedroom to talk, I sat on the couch where Christina had been sitting and we were all chatting about different things. While sitting there I smelled the unmistakable odor of fresh cut roses, I mentioned it to everyone and didn't think too much about it. Then I smelled it a few more times. The smell didn't stay long, perhaps about a minute, but it was unmistakably fresh cut roses.

Then, when you (Russ Bennett) went into the master bedroom I walked in and you stated you (Russ Bennett) smelled something, but I could not. Then when I walked in a little further I smelled the roses again and called Chris to come in with the temperature gauge. Chris also stated he smelled them when he walked in, and then it was gone.

A few minutes later I started smelling fresh cut flowers, like a fresh bouquet of mixed flowers. It was a refreshing smell, and Bruce and Chris both said they smelled it as well. The smell would come and go at odd intervals.

I then went and got Christina and Mrs. Gilmore and told them what was going on and when Mrs. Gilmore walked into the room she smelled the flowers and said it was [Janet]? (her friend) That the smell of fresh cut flowers was the perfume she wore called Beautiful.

We smelled it a few more times after that but nothing else. No feelings, no sounds, no nothing. I did look around for a source of the smell but I could find no time delay air fresheners. I did find a car air freshener but the smell wasn't the same as the roses or the flowers. So, I have no explanation of the smells other than it may have been Mrs. Gilmore's friends way of letting us know she was still around.
