Prelude:
The term investigator in this report refers to anyone that is a member
of the Ghost Hunters of the South paranormal research team. The term
attendee in this report refers to anyone at the investigation that is
not a member of the Ghost Hunters of the South paranormal research team.

Attendees:

Reported Activity:
There have been long standing stories of people hearing the footsteps of
running children within the home. There have also been stories of
disembodied voices and recent visions of a man wearing an old time naval
captain’s uniform. Recently, Dennis Holt, a photographer from the Mobile
Bay Monthly Magazine recently took a photograph of an alleged ghost that
some say is Captain Richards. The image was published in the Mobile Bay
Monthly Magazine.

*K-indices of 5 or greater indicate storm-level geomagnetic activity.
**Research done thus far shows there is a direct correlation between
paranormal activity and the strength of the of the earths geomagnetic
field.
Electric and magnetic field levels did not change from our initial
visit. This instance we did not have any spikes in emf readings. The
strong field that was in the Visitor room was no longer present as it
was caused from the central heater of the establishment. All readings
were expected.

Resonant Frequency Analysis:
We went with the original dimensions of the structure. Due to the size
of the rooms and objects within the room the resonant frequency was not
a concern. Calculations showed that resonance fell well within
acceptable limits.
"Infrasonic frequencies are felt as vibrations which, if intense enough,
may result in feelings of nausea, vertigo, hallucination and eventual
black-out or internal hemorrhaging".
With the infrasound threshold being around 140dB at 20Hz increasing to
about 162dB at 2 Hz; many of the most profound effects of sound are
attributed to infrasound in the region of below 13Hz and above or equal
to 7Hz. This corresponds with the median alpha-rhythm frequencies of the
brain. It is also commonly alleged that this is the resonant frequency
of the body’s organs and hence organ rupture and death can occur at high
intensity exposures.
Resonant frequency is how many times per second sound travels between a
cavity and returns to its starting point. Resonant frequencies for some
areas were calculated at room temperature (72 F) with the following
formula: (1131.743 f/s) / (2 * Cavity Width (in feet)). Note that the
1131.743 feet/second figure is the speed sound travels at in room
temperature, and frequencies below or near Alpha brain wave (< 13 Hz)
have a possibility that could
affect the body more than higher infrasonic frequencies.

Experiential Analysis:
We had hoped that this time we would have had some individual
experiences from the site but none of the team members reported having
any unexpected or strange experiences.
Conclusion:
The investigation went really well, and we enjoyed meeting Dennis Holt
and seeing his ghost picture that was featured in the Mobile Bay
Monthly.
We wish that the Richards DAR house lived up to its reputation of having
ghosts, but based on the data collected and the experiences during the
investigation, we feel that there is not enough evidence to say the DAR
house is haunted.

Strange camera anomaly. Appears
to be a person in a long sleeve shirt. Not sure what it is. We will be testing some theories.
