The right to privacy
GHOTS understands that it is hard to call people like us, especially here in the South. We respect your privacy and hold all our investigations on a confidential basis. We assume confidentiality unless otherwise specified by the persons being investigated. We will conduct all investigations in a professional and confidential manner.Our Tools
During investigations we bring our tools of the trade to capture evidence. We will go over each tool with the persons being investigated to ensure permission is granted for each tools use. We are here to investigate, not invade, but do know that limiting our tool usage could cause us to miss out on some critical evidence.Our Views on Divining Tools
It is our opinion that divining tools and tools of the same ilk are items that have no scientific purpose and therefore are not used by Ghost Hunters of the South. The items themselves are viewed as erroneous, subjective and unscientific. The tools are not part of the standard practices of GHOTS and will not be included in our data as we do not view them as credible. If such devices are used, they are strictly used at the investigators own discretion. From time to time we may look at correlations between divining tools and standard scientific testing equipment. These correlations would be drawn strictly at an "FYI" value.Our Views on Psychics
We value the input of Psychics, but not for scientific data collection. We will collect psychic impression data for addendums to the over-all summary of an investigation. Although subjective, we also have to rely heavily on our senses, but these are not quantifiable and will only be used in a summary of an investigation.Our Views on Orbs
This is an Anti-Orb group. We do not believe photographic orbs are paranormal in nature. We believe they are the reflection of light off of dust, moisture, and other almost lighter than air debris.Credentials
As there are no valid credentials for Paranormal Investigators and groups, we ask that you just look around our site, ask us as many questions that you wish and understand that we are here to help. We have been in ghost research and scientific study for 15+ years. Some of our members hold degrees, and others are in very respectful careers and we all share in the interest of ghosts and ghostly activity.Fees
All of our investigations are free of charge. We do, however, accept donations to assist us with our research endeavors.
